During our electrical check, we check everything from electrical cables to sockets and install telephone and antenna systems, intercom systems, electric blinds and IT networks. The latter refers to the networking of computers and servers so that electronic data processing enables the best possible data exchange.
An earthing system is the basic requirement for electrical safety in every building. The respective object – whether transformer station, residential building, end sleeve or distribution cabinet – determines the type of earthing system.
The German standard (DIN 18014) stipulates a foundation earth electrode as an earthing system in the foundation of a new building. The foundation earth electrode is made with steel straps and laid directly in the reinforced foundation. As with a surface earth electrode, it is laid with steel straps or bars as a closed ring earth electrode at a shallow depth. With a deep earth electrode, the bars are installed vertically at greater depths.
When installing earthing systems, we take into account any insulation on the foundation. If the foundation is to be insulated against moisture, we will of course lay an additional earth conductor as required.
